It was hot in London today and we have a lot of windows, so we had to close the curtains and blinds to keep as much heat out as possible. But I am not complaining. The nights are cool and quite comfortable, and I'm sure the heat is only temporary, since it is London, after all.
We did a little unpacking and then went out to get a sandwich, since we hadn't eaten yet today (or had any coffee) and it was already 2:00. From there, Gord walked to his office to get our other suitcases while I went to the Tesco to get some groceries. Finally, a meal at home!
The rest of the afternoon and evening was spent unpacking and doing our laundry and cooking dinner. Exciting stuff, I know. After dinner, it was cool enough to sit out on our little (and I mean little) balcony and finish our wine. I was glad that it could handle our weight without collapsing!
It feels good to be settled in, although we are off again on Thursday for several days. This time, however, we won't be hauling so much stuff.
There are quite a few books here, and tomorrow I might see if any are on my to-read list.
