To my mind, the London Underground is an exceptionally well-designed, straightforward subway system, with one exception. Can someone explain why there are two Northern lines? Why don't they give them two distinct names and colors? Then you would know which line you needed to take, instead of getting on the wrong one and having to change at Camden Town or Euston. One could stay black and the other could be purple. Gord and I can't possibly be the only people who feel this way.

We went to Soho for dim sum and Google did not steer us wrong on the choice. Yauatcha Soho was excellent. I'm sure there are many other fine choices for dim sum, and now I'm sorry we didn't seek any out before today. We still have ten days left, though.

We walked over to Foyles in search of a particular audio book recommended by Johanna at dinner the other night, something for our long car ride at Christmas. But they did not have it, most audio books being replaced by downloadable digital versions. We happily wandered through some of their multiple floors of books. We were very good, however, and didn't buy anything, probably because we're already getting panicked about packing up.

The rest of the day was spent stopping in at Waitrose for a few groceries, doing a bit of online shopping, talking to my brother Joe, talking to Annie and Tim, making and eating dinner, reading a bit, trying unsuccessfully to do the Sunday crossword with my sister Molly (due to a computer glitch), and writing and posting this exciting blog entry. Now I'm about to watch episode 3 of The Crown.
